Frequently Asked Questions

Endoscopic Discectomy in Turkey

How does this technique differ from open surgery?

The difference lies in how the tissue is reached: a single port and endoscopic vision are used, and the muscle is not split with a large incision. The goal is the same — relieving nerve pressure — but it is achieved with less disturbance to surrounding tissue.

Can every herniation be treated this way?

No; suitability depends on anatomy. The type of herniation, any accompanying canal stenosis and spinal alignment determine the method. A clear decision is made after examination and MRI review.

How long does the procedure take?

The time varies with the anatomy of the case; in suitable, single-level pictures it is usually short. The exact duration is shared during planning.

Spine Surgery in Turkey: Method and Cost

Can I learn the exact price now?

We do not give a fixed list price, because the cost depends on the chosen technique, implants and your needs. If you share your MRI, we offer a transparent quote after discussing the right method.

Can I find out which technique suits me before I travel?

Yes. The technical reading is done remotely in most cases. Sharing your MRI images and reports is enough for the method discussion; travel is considered only after the plan is clear.

Does every spine complaint require surgery?

No. Not every herniated disc or spinal complaint requires surgery; in some pictures a conservative approach is sufficient. That is why the first step is an honest assessment.

Do you promise success?

No; promising a definite outcome is not ethical in surgery. The method and expectations are discussed separately and realistically for each patient.
